This bottle was placed in the back of one of the wood fired kilns. The temperature didn't get as hot as it should have. The coat of ash glaze is a little light. Still, it is a nice looking vase. I think it has a color and texture that some people would like.

As you may have noticed, I always include 4 views of my pots. Wood fired pottery is different from most gas fired pottery. In gas fired pottery, the color is the same no matter which side of the pot you are looking at. The opposite is true for wood fired pottery. Different sides of the pot can give a unique look from the other sides. If you get tired of looking at your wood fired vase, give it a small turn and you have the look of a new vase.
