Celadon Bowls That I Bought In South Korea 한국에서 구입 하 신 청 자의 그릇

I bought this pair of bowls at the Icheon Ceramic Festival In South Korea. They have a nice celadon glaze on them. I like celadon glazes but I don't love them. I like blue celadons better than greens. However, since South Korea is known for its beautiful green celadons, I had to buy some celadon pottery. These bowls were inexpensive. They were 10,000 Won each or about $9 US.

The bowls are a good size and shape. I like the design that goes around the rim. There is Korean writing, but it doesn't actually spell anything. Still, it makes a nice border. The potter who made these bowls gave them a little bit of a triangle shape by altering the rim. It's a nice touch. Most Korean pottery is perfect, without any altering at all.

The celadon is nice and glossy. I like celadons like that. It also has some nice crackle in the glaze. I prefer celadons that have a crackle pattern to them.
