I want to learn Korean. It's going to be hard because I can't remember what I had for breakfast and sometimes I can't remember what day of the week it is. While I may never be fluent, I know I can get better. So, here is my plan, which may change daily for all I know.
I'm going to start working in the Read & Speak Korean For Beginners. I found the first edition was helpful. I would have used it again, but I filled out all of the worksheets in with a pen. It's definitely a good warmup.

I also need to read a little everyday. I can read well, but I need to read faster. I got a lot of practice on the subway in South Korea during my trip there. Hopefully, I can continue to improve. I had been reading some books that my school gave me. They are for elementary school kids. They aren't very interesting. I plan to read the book at the bottom that was written by a famous potter, Kim Yong Moon. I will be reading a few pages before I leave for work this morning.

I have several other books that I am going to use. Most of them have some good vocabulary and some grammar instruction. I also have my Korean dictionary that I was given for having perfect attendance in the beginner class at my school. If I only knew a little Korean!

One method that has helped me learn a lot of vocabulary words is to carry some flash cards in my truck. I try to work through a few cards every time I get into my truck and again just before I get out. Most of these first 50 cards are words that I already know, but I need to review. As I learn the words on the cards, I'll add a few more.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time learning grammar, like I did in my first class. I am going to spend more time increasing the number of words that I know and learning how to pronounce them. I do have one problem, I can't find a Korean tutor. I've tried, but I really don't know where to look. Hopefully, I'll find someone soon.
