Inside Of A Bowl 그릇의 내부

This piece is very unusual. I have never seen a glaze like this, especially one that has been wood fired. The inside of this bowl looks like mother of pearl. It has a beautiful rainbow like shimmer that changes as you move the bowl from side to side.

Look at the inside of this bowl and compare it to the surrounding pots that were fired next to it. It doesn't look like it is possible to produce this glaze in a wood kiln.

The outside is another story. I do not care for this pink color. If only the outside of the bowl looked like the inside, it would be world class. By the way, I have no idea what glaze the potter used.

Heidi is the potter who made and glazed the bowl. I really like her. I fired with her in 2007 and 2009 at Northern Arizona University. I hope we can fire together again one day.
