Wood Firing Is Hard Work 나무 발사는 힘든 일입니다.

When one of the wood fired kilns is firing, it requires hard work 24 hours a day. Also, most of the potters are using the rest of their time to make more pots for the rest of the firing. I personally bring all of my pots to the workshop. It isn't fun to haul a truck load of pots 1350 miles across the country, but it gives me more time to do the thing that I love, fire big kilns.

I have been known to fire for up to 16 hours in a day. If I a awake, I am most likely down by the kiln. When I am sleepy, I go to my room and take a short nap. Others, sleep where it is convenient. There is usually a hammock or two around the kilns. I may have watched too many cartoons as a kid, hammocks scare me. The guys who are sleeping in these photos don't seem to have this problem.
