I saw this large Korean style Onggi jar at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana. The shape of the pot, the color, everything about this pot is a dream. I am particularly drawn to the marks the potter that made. You can see places where his paddle hit the clay and the locations of the various coils that were used to make it.

The location, in front of a pottery studio is also appropiate. That connection is important. The natural setting of the plants and trees give rise to thoughts of its earthly origin. I love this pot.
