This pot was glazed with an oribe glaze. It is a Japanese style glaze that is usually green. However, when there is a lot of reduction, like in a wood kiln, it tends to turn red. It is fairly common to have areas of red and green on a wood fired oribe pot. This pot is not red or green.

Two, part of the glaze had settled to the bottom of the drum and it was not mixed properly. Third, the glaze was changed due to potters "double dipping".
