Jason must have the largest collection of pottery related shirts in the world. I have seen him on dozens of occasions and I have never seen him wear the same one. I am impressed with his ability to pull off a successful workshop every year. There are very few disagreements among the participants and everyone goes home with some great pots. Jason makes world class pots. His attention to detail is outstanding. Every component of his pots is well thought out and put together. I am surprised that Jason isn't more well known than he is. I guess that a lot of that has to do with his schedule as a professor. Also, too many famous potters are not very good, I'm sad to say. Most have become famous due to friendships with others, rather than the work that they produce. I guess that is one of the differences between American potters and those potters from other countries where the work is more important.

I like all of Jason's pots. However, the ones that I am the most impressed with are his teapots. I have seen thousands of teapots in my lifetime. I have also seen thousands more on the internet and in books and magazines. I have yet to see any as nice as Jason's. Jason makes two types of teapots. One is a double handled, double spout teapot. The next teapot is a one that has a removable filter and a handbuilt spout. The square shaped cups go with these type of teapots. It is a joy to watch Jason make both styles of teapots. At first glance, they look very difficult to make. When you watch him make a few, it looks so easy. However, after an hour or so of trying to make one yourself, you realize how much skill is needed.
