Woodfirers love fire. If they aren't firing a big kiln, then they are finding some other way to play with their friend. In 2008, at the Northern Arizona University Summer woodfire workshop we had a special treat. One of the students was a fire dancer. Erin was a great performer who performed with a flaming hula hoop. She had modified the hoop herself. She used Coleman fuel as her flame source. Not only could she twirl, but she could also dance. I really enjoyed watching her perform.
