Having Fun Making Cups 펀 만들기 컵 발생

Sometimes potters experiment and just make pots for fun. They may or may not be functional or in preparation for any future work. Here are a few cups that I made a few years ago. These cups are small. I think the largest one is around 3 inches tall.

I don't like to throw in front of other people. This is good since I throw by myself in my own studio. I threw a few cups out of boredom during a workshop. They were simple, made with absolutely no effort.

I did enjoy hitting them, cutting them, drawing on them, and more. I think it is pretty evident that my name is not Voulkos, Soldner, or Reitz. Still, it was fun.

I used the same random technique and applied a little glaze and slip to the cups. There was no pattern or any attempt to be artistic. Still, it was fun. Now the group of 3 has a really nice surface. They are bare clay and I wish that I remember which kiln they were in. I absolutely love the way the surface turned out. I wish that I had put in a little more effort on those. I guess that is the way of wood firing.
