Tonight was my second Korean tutoring session. I always show up with my own lesson planned. Tonight I worked on a dialogue about greeting a stranger, another about ordering food in a restaurant, and also one about asking for directions. I tried to build on using money from last week. I also read a couple pages from a Korean book. Most of time is spent working on pronunciation.
I am really learning a lot in my weekly 1 1/2 hours of studying korean with my tutor. I hope that I will be able to study with her for a long time. She is a great teacher and makes learning fun. I also enjoy talking about Korea with her and her husband.
My tutor informed me of another Korean class that is starting in 2 weeks. It is a 13 week course. There is a level 1 and a level 2. I just found out that my current intermediate teacher is teaching the level 2 class. The description of the class says that it is open to those that are 11 years old or older. I'm 50. I hope that I can still attend class.
My teacher has convinced me that I need to start watching Korean dramas. She told me that her students who watch lots of Korean dramas have great pronunciation. I have heard this before, but I never believed it. Since my tutor said it, I'll start believing it. Now, I just have to find a drama to start watching.
