This book is from Moon Handbooks. It is one of the better travel books on South Korea. I would put it in the top 3 anyway. One of the main reasons that I bought it was it had a lot of info on Jeju Island. I have recently become very intersted in learning about Jeju. I plan to spend several days there this year. There is also a lot of info on another area that I want to visit, Seoraksan National Park. For some reason, I've decided that I want to spend a lot of time hiking in South Korea this year. It looks like someone will be joining a gym soon!!!
I definitely recommend this book. However, there isn't any substantial difference between this book, Lost Planet, and Frommer's. Buy whichever one is on sale. You really don't need a book at all. You can get most everything you need off the internet. You will have read through some half truths and even some outright lies. However, the information is out there.
When I finish this book, I am going to start the actual planning of my trip. I'll do this even though I know that once I get in South Korea my plans will change by the hour.
