My Trip To Japan: Hotel Umbrella Stand

I was lucky on my Japan vacation and it only rained a little for the last 3 days. Almost every store in Japan seems to sell umbrellas. When it rains, they put them right by the door for sale. They are very inexpensive and very high quality. I ended up buying 2 of the large clear umbrellas for 500 yen each. That is about $4 US. 

In front of my hotel and at a couple nice restaurants I saw these stands that you can lock your umbrella into. You keep the pulling out the key locks in the umbrella and replacing it frees the umbrella. It was nice not to have an wet umbrella on the floor of your hotel room.
