There is a small area of stores,places to drink, and places to eat that is located outside of the airforce base. This area is a mix of the old and the new. It looks like the old places are disappearing rapidly and being replaced by new stores, bars, and restaurants. The street all curve around rather than being stright like we are used to inthe United States. I liked the area, however it is not perfect. Some of the bars are open 24 hours a day and sometimes there were people hanging out of the windows yelling down to the people on the streets. Those types of incidents are rare. Mostly you normal people and families. There is also a dark side to the area and is the reason that there are love motels. Just avoid the obvious clubs and bars and you will hardly notice it.
