One Last Red Bottle 한 마지막 붉은 병

This is the last red bottle that I have from a really good wood firing. There is no way to produce consistent colors in a wood kiln. There are just too many variables. Even the wood that is used has multiple variables. The type of wood, where it was grown, the time of year that it was cut, what part of the tree that it came from, how long ago it was cut, its moisture content, and many, many other factors. You can basically do this for all of the other things that influence the kiln atmosphere. While it is possible to produce bottle that looks exactly like this, it is unlikely. Even pots that were in the same kiln did not develop this same color. All wood firers look forward to the first look inside the kiln to see the final results. It is like looking into  a giant treasure chest.
