Small Woodfired Vase 스몰 우드는 꽃병을 발사

This is a small woodfired vase. I can't remember which firing it was in. I do know that it was made from some homemade clay. The clay flashed decently. However, I was hoping for more. It did mature early and it created a nice drippy ash surface on the side facing the firebox.

This vase is small, at least for me. It is about 4 to 5 inches tall. The outside of the pot was left unglazed. I did use a celadon on the inside. I didn't take a picture of it, but it looked really nice.

I love to experiment with new clay bodies. I have several thousand pounds of new clays maturing right now. I will be throwing some of them in a couple of months. I have very high hopes for a couple of them. I guess I'll always think that there is a perfect clay waiting to be discovered. However, I know in my heart that it won't happen. Different clay bodies work better in different zones in the kiln.
