4 Sea shell Pot 4 시쉘 포

This pot was fired in a wood kiln. The firing was for 3 days in a train kiln. Like most of my pots is was made out of a white stoneware. My favorite is Laguna's B Mix. It throws great and flashes well in a wood kiln.

I'm not a big seashell fan, but sometimes there is no other choice for wadding a pot. I do like the 4 contact points on this bottle. They form marks that don't distract from the pot. The flashing has good indications of the movement of the flame. The darker color is from the piece being reduction cooled. I really like the nice ash runs. If the pot had been fired a few more days, it would have been been a great pot. The pot cooled fairly slowly as indicated by some nice crystal growth in the ash glaze. Overall, it is a pretty nice bottle.
