Since I started my climb early on a week day, it wasn't too crowded at the top. I can see that it could get very packed on a weekend since the area at the top is small. As in a lot of places, there was a man who had a stand selling pictures, medals, and all kinds of other things. It would have been nice if he wasn't there, in my opinion.
