Lost In Translation 번역에서 길을 잃었다

There are definitely some challenges when 2 people people try to communicate when neither speaks the other's language very well. While I know a few words and phrases, if someone speaks Korean to me I am frozen with fear. My friend speaks a little better than me, but still is far away from being fluent. This Fall, when we spend 3 weeks together, we will make it work. Currently, we are communicating strictly through email. Even that can be challenging. I write my emails in English, then I use an internet translator before I send it to her. She writes me in Korean and I use the internet translators to attempt find out what she has written. There are emails that do not translate very well, no matter which translator is used. Still, we are communicating. Here is how I do it.

There are 8 internet translators that I use. The top 4 are usually pretty good. They get worse as you go down the list. Some emails work better with different translators. You have to use common sense and context to get a general idea of what is written. I am good with context. Common sense? That's up for debate.
