I picked my Sokcho hotel from one of the main travel books. I've had good luck doing that before. The Good Morning Hotel is about a 3 to 5 minute walk from the express bus terminal. It is an easy walk, even with heavy luggage. Simply walk towards the row of taxis, towards the beach. Turn down the street that the taxis are on and walk about 100 yards. The hotel is on the left. If the hotel is full, there are at least a dozen hotels within a minute or two walk.

I paid around $75 US for the room. This is about double what I usually pay. However, the leaves were starting to bloom and Sokcho had a lot of tourists. I probably should have bargained a little for a better rate. My room was large and had everything I needed to cook my own meals. I had an ocean view from my balcony. I was glad that I stayed there. I will stay there again, later this year.
