At the recent NCECA 2013 ceramic conference, held in Houston, I got to see some potters that I admire. I had seen pictures of Chris Gustin's pots before, but I had never seen one in person. They were wonderful. Not only are they big and well made but the glaze and wood ash patterns are really special. If I could make any type of pots, I think I would like to make pots like these. Of course, I would need a much bigger kiln as well as the knowledge and skill in how to make pots like these. I would also like to sell my pots for the same price. The big pots were all listed in the $18,000 to $25,000 US range.
