I decided to tie a red string on my wrist and leave it there until I lose 30 pounds. Hopefully, this will come off before too long. I've been wearing it for almost one week and nobody has asked me why I'm wearing a red string on my wrist. I find that sort of humorous. The reason that I choose red is stairs. A lot of South Korea's mountains have stairs and wooden walkways. One of the places that I want to go has red stairs just below the summit. Some of the stairs are very steep, almost like a ladder. There are 808 red stairs that have to be climbed to reach the top. I do not want to have to turn back at stair 537 because I'm too fat. The view at the top is spectacular.
The string is helping me keep focused on eating right and exercising. Every time I want a snack I look at the string. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. I did work out at the gym this past week. I went 4 times and spent 45 minutes on cardio. If I can continue this until this october, I'll be in good shape when I get to South Korea.
