This is a book that a friend gave me. He was in Japan and was visiting a museum when he saw this in the gift shop. It was something that he thought that I might like. He was very, very, very right. I absolutely love this book. It gives much insight into the aesthetics of ancient Japanese tea bowls. It is a potter's dream to be able to see such fine examples. These examples would be fun to reproduce in the studio. However, without a doubt, they would be poor copies of the originals.
