Today I found some time to work in the garden. I had to pull up the weeds and strip away the top 4 inches of soil in one of my planters. Normally, last year's Gerbera Daisy's would have made it through the winter. They would be blooming like crazy. However, last year we had a severe drought. We were over 30 inches behind in on our normal rainfall. Basically everything in my yard died but a few weeds. It even became against the law to water your yard. So, I get to start all over again.

I got really lucky when I went to the local garden center. They just got a big shipment of Gerbera's in and they were in great shape. I hand picked a dozen for my garden. I'm happy with the colors that I got. The Gerbera Diasy's are one of my favorite macro photography subjects. There will be many photos to come...........soon!
