Destination: Korea! 대상: 한국!

I have just a couple more days and will be in South Korea. I have spent the last few days buying all of the little things I needed and packing a little at a time. It's been a little less than a year since I was there. I can't wait to try out my much improved Korean language knowledge. I look forward to engaging in some Korean only conversations unlike last year where I prayed everyone spoke English. By the way, most Koreans don't.

I will have a much easier time travelling around the country. I know how the subways, buses, and train work. I have favorite places to eat and places that I like to visit. The biggest change that I will make this year is that I will spend the majority of my time out of the Seoul area. After a couple days in Seoul to adjust to the time change, I will head out to Sokcho and Seoraksan National Park. Then, I will make my way to Busan, Kyeongju, Tongyeon, and a few other places in the area. I might travel to Jeju Island if I can somehow get on a plane. I could take the ferry, but 11 hours on a ferry does not sound like a fun vacation.

I will eventually find my way back to Seoul and the surrounding area. I want to go to the Anseong folk festival, Suwon, climb Bukhansan, and anything else that I find interesting. I will be there 20 days, so hopefully I will take my time, relax, and have fun. Lots of photos and interesting tidbits of Korean culture are to follow.
